GUWAHATI, Jan 25 - In a gruesome incident, a man thrashed his elder brother to death with a spade at Pandu last night.
Police said that the brothers were engaged in a heated argument over household chores, following which the younger brother Bishal Biswas (26) thrashed his elder brother Bitu (30) with a spade. Bitu was rushed to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital but succumbed to his injuries at the hospital around 6 am this morning.
The Court of Kamrup (Metro) Chief Judicial Magistrate today sent Bishal to jail. Police had arrested Bishal from his residence under Section 302 of IPC.
