SILCHAR, Aug 30 - Anjan Roy, husband of 28-year-old Ruma Roy, a resident of Nadirpar village in Bihara under Katigorah constituency of Cachar district was booked by police on charges of a dowry death case.
It may be mentioned that Sudhendhu Roy, father of the deceased, filed an FIR at Bihara Police Station alleging that the in-laws of his daughter exerted pressure upon the deceased for meeting the demands of dowry.
The police recovered the body of Ruma Roy under mysterious condition on Monday.
