TURA, Oct 19 - A resident of Assam was found dead today in Bajengdoba village in North Garo Hills after allegedly being beaten to death while another unidentified autodriver was kidnapped by miscreants from near the same place yesterday.
According to police, one Fakrul Islam (32), resident of Krishnai Badwan was found dead, about a kilometre from Bajengdoba PS this morning. Postmortem revealed the bones in his body were broken. The reason for his killing is still a mystery.
Meanwhile, an auto driver was kidnapped after some miscreants acting as customers hired the vehicle from Krishnai in Assam to Bajengdoba and took him away forcefully yesterday. His whereabouts are still unknown.
