SILCHAR, June 29 - Cachar Police arrested a person for issuing threats to assassinate Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and BJP�s lone minority MLA from Sonai constituency Aminul Haque Laskar.
According to Cachar SP Rakesh Roushan, the person identified as Ekramul Haque was arrested from Nagaon district. �He was booked under 66(A) of the IT Act for threatening the Chief Minister and the Sonai legislator on social media. He is under the custody of Cachar Police,� the SP said.
