GUWAHATI, July 14 (Agencies): Former Assam Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta has announced his resignation as president of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) party.
AGP working president Atul Bora will head the party in his place for the time being.
It may be mentioned that there has been a demand for long within AGP for Mahanta's relinquishing the post of party presidentship.
