JORABAT, Sept 12 - Three persons, including a woman, were arrested after they were found in possession of an illegal consignment of Indian made foreign liquor and country liquor, this morning in Jorabat area.
A mini truck and an auto rickshaw were also seized by the Assam Excise Department during a routine check.
The arrested persons have been identified as Jaydeep Das, Laxman Boro and Isabal Makri.
Officials said that the arrested persons were trying to smuggle in the liquor illegally to Assam from Meghalaya.
