Land for Raha institute

GUWAHATI, June 29 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has directed the Revenue Department to initiate the process of allotment of a suitable plot of land in and around Raha in Nagaon district and complete the process within 10 days so as to hand over the land to the concerned authority for setting up of the All India Institute of Ayurveda. This was stated in an official press release.

The All India Institute of Ayurveda in Raha will be second institute of its kind after New Delhi.

Sonowal said in a statement here today that the Ministry of AYUSH has expressed its keenness for setting up of a state-of-the-art All India Institute of Ayurveda in the State. The State Government has decided on Raha to be the site of the proposed institute for which several hundred crores of rupees will be spent.
