KRA ultra arrested

DIMAPUR, July 28 - The Assam Rifles has apprehended a former Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) cadre from Dimapur for peddling arms, according to IGAR (North) based in Kohima.

During search of a suspected house, one illegal point 22 pistol was recovered. On questioning, the apprehended ex-KRA cadre revealed that he had surrendered at Military Camp, Manja in 2014 and had often indulged in arms peddling activities since then.

The ex-militant was identified as Angam Jangam, of Chumukedima. He was handed over to Diphupar Police Station on July 21 itself, it added.
