GUWAHATI, March 5 � Forest Minister Rockybul Hussain today told the Assembly that the Karbi People�s Liberation Tiger (KPLT) was behind the abduction of the two forest officers � Abhijit Rabha (CCF) and Ranjan Baruah (Ranger) � at Batlog between Sinhasan hills and Longnit under Bokolia police station on March 3.
Hussain said that police and security forces were continuing with a massive combing operation on and around Sinhasan hills following information that the abductors were preparing to shift the officers to another nearby hideout.
Hussain also revealed that the abductors had contacted the family members of the abducted duo and the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council authorities, informing them that the KPLT was behind the abduction.
