SIVASAGAR, Feb 25 - The Assam Table Tennis Association (ATTA), under the aegis of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) has conducted a special coaching camp here procuring services of internationally famed North Korean coaches Jong Hyok Im and Jong Son An.
Earlier similar camps were held at Jorhat and Dibrugarh from January 2 to 25 and from January 26 to February 9 respectively.
The Sivasagar camp was started on February 10 and will be concluded tomorrow. All the expenditures were borne by the State TT body.
The participating paddlers were imparted training in technical skills and strategy, service receive and return, specific exercises pertaining to the game. The players were also trained how to develop the killer instinct, footwork and correct action along with diet and nutrition. The ATTA has also donated three Donic boards along with of 18 arenas to each of the affiliated units of ATTA. This is for the first time that the ATTA has provided free TT boards and arenas to its affiliated units.
