KMSS activists stop train to protest Akhil arrest

JORHAT, Sept 14 - KMSS activists today protested by stopping the Rangiya-Dibrugarh train (the Kamakhya Express) for about 30 minutes at Selenghat Railway Station under Teok Police Station against the arrest of their leader, Akhil Gogoi, in Golaghat yesterday.

Gogoi was later taken to Dibrugarh as a case against him was registered in the Moran Police Station in Dibrugarh.

The KMSS protesters shouted slogans, demanding Gogoi�s immediate release. In Titabor, KMSS members burnt tyres on the historic Dhodar Ali and blocked the road for some time.
