JORHAT, May 4 - Employees and officers of the Jorhat East and West Revenue Circles in a brief function organised at the revenue office complex here felicitated Emon Gogoi with a Xaphura, a citation and Rs 11,000 on being selected as a member of the Indian team which will feature in the 17th Asian Karate Federation Championship scheduled to be held from May 10 to 13 in Okinawa.
President of the All Assam Mandal Kanangu Sanmilani (All Assam Revenue Department Employees� Association) Amulya Kalita, along with senior officials and staff of both the revenue circle offices were present in the felicitation function.
Emon is the only girl karateka from Assam to take part in the Asian championship.
She is a class X student of a private English medium school here.
