GUWAHATI, Aug 7 - Kamrup emerged overall champions in the All Assam Arm Wrestling Championship held at the South Point School premises on August 4 and 5.
Dhemaji occupied the second spot in the championship which was held under the aegis of the All Assam Arm Wrestling Association. Altogether 211 players from all over the State took part in the two-day meet, stated a release issued by organising secretary Prahlad Sankar Bhagawati.
The champion of champions in different groups are: (Jr women) Nitushree Gogoi; (Sr women) Mamoni Bayan; (Jr men) Bishal Das; (Sr men) Mrigankajit Goswami; (Masters) Purandar Gogoi; (Ultra masters) Prahlad Sankar Bhagawati.
