GUWAHATI, May 19 � An �intimate interaction� with veteran lyricist and artiste Kamal Hazarika was held under the aegis of Jyotirupa-Yubatirtha at the Lakshmiram Baruah Sadan today. Dhira Hazarika was also felicitated on the occasion.
The programme titled Senai Moi Jao Dei centered around various aspects of the artiste�s creative life including his inspirations and creations.
Several evergreen songs based on his inimitable lyrics were later sung by select singers. The artiste was felicitated with a phulam gamosa, a seleng sador and a rhino replica, among others, by PG Baruah, president of Jyotirupa and Dr Mrinal Choudhury, president Yubatirtha. Paramananda Rajbongshi, secretary of Asam Sahitya Sabha, also felicitated him with a sarai.
