GUWAHATI, Jan 9 � Kaliabor boys and Naharkatia girls clinched titles in the fifth Junior Inter District Hockey Championship.
In the finals played at Bongaigaon today, Kaliabor boys team edged past Nagaon 2-1 while in the girls final Naharkatia outplayed Nagaon 6-1. Arjun Bhagat of Kaliabor and Elina Ekta of Naharkatia were named best players in boys and girls sections respectively.
In the closing function Bongaigaon DC Biswajit Pegu and Assam Hockey Association secretary Tapan Das distributed the prizes.
