DIBRUGARH, Feb 25 - Under the auspices of the Cricket Club of Dibrugarh, the first JKM Trophy of Excellence will be held here from tomorrow.
The champion team will be awarded the trophy and a cash prize of Rs 75,000 while the runners-up will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000, said Kamakhya Saikia of the organising club. He said the tournament will help encourage young cricketers of the region.
Altogether 10 teams have confirmed their participation in the event. The teams are: Bud Cricket Club, (Guwahati), Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre, Dibrugarh Cricket Coaching Centre, Jorhat Cricket Coaching Centre, Tinsukia Town Club, Phoenix Club (Sivasagar), Cricket Club of Dibrugarh Green, Duliajan Cricket Academy, Cricket Club of Dibrugarh Blue and Margherita Marine Cricket Club.
