J&K trounce Assam

GUWAHATI, Oct 11 - Jammu and Kashmir trounced Assam by a margin of 79 runs in their last Group C match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy at Chennai today.

Batting first, Jammu and Kashmir notched up 272 for seven in 50 overs. Openers Ahmed Omer Bandy and Shubham Khajuria added 148 runs for the opening wicket partnership punishing all the Assam bowlers.

In reply, Assam were all out for 193 in 48.2 overs. Skipper Amit Sinha top scored with 81 while Abu Nechim Ahmed chipped in with 28 runs.
