DIBRUGAH, Dec 12 - B Division 11 and Railway Divisional Sports Club won their respective matches of the 12th Captain Jintu Gogoi, Veer Chakra, Memorial Football Tournament played at Chowkidinghee ground here today.
In the first match B Division 11 team defeated Duliajan Football Academy 4-2 via tie breaker. Both the teams exhibited competitive spirit, creating scoring opportunities at regular intervals but fell short when it came to converting them. Both the teams failed to break the dead-lock during the gruelling regulation time.
In another match which was played in the afternoon, Dibrugarh Railway Divisional Sports Club outplayed Namrup Town Club by a clear margin of 3-0 goals. Dibrugarh Railway Divisional Sports Club netted one goal in first half and added two goals in the second session.
