Mangaldai Feb 28 - Dhrubajyoti Barua , a Junior Engineer (JE) serving in Sipajhar Development Block in Darrang district has been placed under suspension. According to a source in the Rural Development, the government on Tuesday issued his suspension order on the basis of an inquiry. Barua, who was a member of a construction committee for a field development work at Hazarikapara GP, had misappropriated funds released by Darrang Zila Parishad under 13th Finance Commission. Several organisations have demanded a through probe into the funds released for the developmental works in Mangaldai. They alleged that funds meant for the development of the roads have been misappropriated.
