JAGIROAD, March 9 - The 3rd Renu Saikia, Chitra Borthakur and Khagen Baishya Memorial Jagiroad Inter-Club Cricket League got underway today at the Jagiroad Sports Association ground here.
In the inaugural match, Khelimeli Cricket Club defeated Universal Health Club by seven wickets. Batting first, after winning the toss, Universal scored 157 for 5 and in reply, Khelimeli scored 159 for 3. Dipak Das (80) and Ranju Mahanta (58) were the leading scorers for Universal and Khelimeli respectively. Altogether 12 teams are taking part.
