DIBRUGARH, Jan 18 - Prantor Baruah, A level national golf referee, has been awarded International Certification as a Golf Referee and Tournament Administrator (R&A) by the St Andrews, Scotland, which governs and administers golf rules in the world along with United States Golf Association (USGA).
Baruah was nominated from India for the international R&A test programme, held at Japan in November last year. He is the first such Internationally Certified golf referee from Assam and the Northeast and second from Eastern India.
