GUWAHATI, July 4 - Professional Armwrestling, a USA based organisation in collaboration with Purna Vikash Sanstha, a Dibrugarh based NGO and Bulldog Sports of Bengaluru will organise an international armwrestling championship at the GMCH auditorium here on July 26 and 27.
Several top international armwrestlers will be seen in action during the championship. Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju and Rameswar Teli have extended all support for successful organising of the two-day meet. Rijiju will inaugurate the tournament while noted singer Zubeen Garg has been named brand ambassador of the championship.
Organising secretary Anup Rajkonwar opined that this tournament will provide a platform for Assam players to showcase their talent, stated a release.
