Improvement in Mamoni Raisom�s condition

GUWAHATI, Feb 16 � Slight improvement has been marked in the condition of noted writer Dr Mamoni Raisom Goswami since yesterday, though the doctors at the Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) said that her condition is still very critical.

The Jnanpith awardee has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of GMCH on February 12. She is still on ventilation.

Principal and Chief Superintendent of the GMCH, Dr MM Deka told The Assam Tribune this evening that the doctors attending on Dr Goswami have noticed a slight improvement in her condition since yesterday.

He, however, said that the condition of the renowned writer continues to be critical.

"The treatment procedure approved by two senior doctors of the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi yesterday is being followed now," said Dr Deka.

Meanwhile, the Sadou Asom Pragatishil Nari Santha, Nirjatan Birodhi Aikya Mancha and Jonaki Bat have wished speedy recovery of Dr Goswami.
