GUWAHATI, Feb 25 - The Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) will observe the National Science Day on February 27 and 28 at the institute located at Paschim Boragaon (Garchuk).
The focal theme of the event is �Science for Society and Knowledge for Innovation�, the organisers said.
�There will be scientific model display, exhibition, documentary show and popular science lectures during the event. The participation is free for all and the winner will be awarded with cash prizes,� a press statement said.
Eminent scientists like Prof MV Padma Srivastava, AIIMS, New Delhi, Prof Dhruba Jyoti Saikia, NCRA, TIFR, Pune and Prof Abani Kumar Bhagabaty, Gauhati University will deliver speech on the occasion.
Students, teachers, guardians and all interested persons are cordially invited to participate in the two-day programme.
