Health camp for journalists

GUWAHATI, Jan 26 - Over 90 per cent Guwahati-based journalists were found suffering from lifestyle diseases in a health camp conducted by Metro Gym in association with the Guwahati Press Club here on Saturday.

Nearly 70 journalists and some of their family members took part in the camp held on the Press Club premises. Apart from the blood pressure and blood sugar check-ups, the body mass index (BMI), per cent body fat, body composition analysis, etc., were done by the experts in the camp.

Analysis of most of the journalists participating in the camp revealed that health issues related to stress, irregular eating habits, consumption of junk food, lack of exercise, etc., were affecting the scribes.
