KOKRAJHAR, July 18 - BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary laid the foundation stone of a multistoried super market complex at in the heart of Kokrajhar town on Friday.
Among others, BTC Executive Member Doneswar Goyari, Kokrajhar Development Authority (KDA) Chairman DD Narzary, BTC, Central Selection Board Chairman Jayanta Mohilary and other invited guest and dignitaries were present at the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Hagrama Mohilary hoped that the construction of the multi-storied super market complex would be completed within the stipulated time and people of Kokrajhar would be benefited. He also stressed the need of more such complexes in Kokrajhar.
The four storey building of the market complex is estimated to cost Rs 375.90 lakh under 10% non-lapsable central pool fund. The proposed building complex is spread across an area of 243.87 sq.m which will have parking, power room, toilets, restaurants and other facilities.
The Kokrajhar Development Authority (KDA) is the implementing agency of the project. It may be mentioned here that the KDA comprises 10 wards and 45 villages with a total population of 45,000.
