Hagrama condemns Silapathar incident

KOKRAJHAR, March 7 - BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary condemned the Silapathar incident that took place in Dhemaji district yesterday where some protesters vandalised a local AASU office.

Talking to mediapersons today here at Kokrajhar Bodoland Guest House, Mohilary termed the Silapathar incident as most unfortunate and appealed to a cross-section of people and organisations to maintain peace and harmony in the State. Mohilary also demanded a high-level inquiry into the incident and legal action against the culprits involved in the incident.

Meanwhile, the All Bodo Students� Union, Ex-BLT Welfare Society and several other organisations of BTAD have condemned the incident and demanded stern action against the culprits. ABSU president Promod Boro also requested all politicians of the State to refrain from making provocative statements for their political gains.
