GUWAHATI, May 4 - Guwahati made it to the semifinals of the Nuruddin Trophy Elite Group Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament.
In the first quarterfinal match Guwahati defeated Tinsukia by virtue of their 143-run first innings lead as the two-day encounter at the Barsapara stadium here today ended in a draw. Not a single ball could be bowled today due to inclement weather condition.
Yesterday, in reply to Tinsukia�s first innings total of 80, Guwahati were 223 for four. In the second quarterfinal Jorhat will take on Nagaon from tomorrow at the same venue.
