GUWAHATI, June 13 � Authorities of Gauhati University have decided that prospectus for admission for the forthcoming academic session (2015-2016) will be available for students from the last week of June 2015.
The authorities have taken a decision that 5 seats will be reserved for ex-employees of Gauhati University, while 20 % seats have been kept for other university students this time.
There will be no entrance exam among the students of Gauhati University and other universities.
The entire process (entrance test to admission) will be completed by the month of July, and the new academic session will commence from August 2015, said secretary, University Classes. The students of other university will have to apply only through online mode, whereas students of Gauhati University will have to apply through offline mode.
The university authorities have also stated that there is a possibility that the prospectus will be made available in the post offices and some nationalised banks, said the secretary.
