TINSUKIA, Jan 23 - Golaghat entered semifinals in the JK Baruah Trophy U-19 Inter District Cricket Championship defeating Margherita on first innings lead.
On the second day of the two-day match at the Tinsukia District Sports Association�s Katchujan Field here today, in reply to Margherita�s first innings total of 133, Golaghat, resuming at yesterday�s 136 for six, were all out for 203.
In the second innings, Margherita were all out for 131. Chasing a winning target of 62, Golaghat team was in trouble losing seven wickets for 37 when stumps were finally drawn.
Now Golaghat will play against Dibrugarh on January 27 and 28 in the group D semifinal. Tinsukia will play against Nazira in the next match from tomorrow.
