TURA, Aug 15 - A cadre allegedly belonging to the Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) was arrested on Wednesday from Ringrey locality here in West Garo Hills while he was on an extortion drive.
Police said that the cadre, Dominic R Marak, a resident of Dobasipara here was sent by senior GNLA leader, Hedio for purposes of extortion. An amount of Rs 37,500 was recovered from the arrested cadre.
