GNC,UDP to work together

TURA, June 24 - With an eye on the upcoming Assembly elections in Meghalaya, United Democratic Party (UDP) and Garo National Council (GNC) held a meeting yesterday wherein both the parties decided to work together to win maximum number of seats in the election.

The meeting was attended by former Chief Minister Donkupar Roy, Bindo Lanong and top leaders from Garo Hills.

Both the parties decided to work together for the development of the State which they felt could be achieved only through regional parties. � Correspondent

The leaders unequivocally said that they would win all the 24 seats from the Garo Hills region in the upcoming elections.

The meeting was also attended by former deputy CEM of Garo Hills Autonomous District Council Augustine Marak of GNC.
