SHILLONG, Aug 10 - After extending its term on several occasions, the State Government today announced that elections to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) would be held on October 12 and counting would be held on October 15.
A notification informed that the last date of filing of nomination for the Council�s election has been fixed on September 21, while the date of withdrawal has been fixed on September 24.
