Geckos rescued in Thelamara

TEZPUR, Jan 8 � Six geckos were rescued by police from Rangagara village under Thelamara PS in Sonitpur district on Wednesday night.

According to police, following a drive at the residence of one Salim Ali of No. 3 Rangagara village on Wednesday night, police rescued six live geckos kept in a wooden box. Police added that the main accused is absconding from his residence.

Salim Ali's wife informed the police that these geckos, which will now being sent to the Assam State Zoo, were brought from Lumding.
