�Fully safe� to return, NGO tells students

DIMAPUR, Aug 28 � Naga Council Dimapur, on behalf of civil society, Tribal Hohos and NGOs, today urged all Naga students and employees who have returned home during the recent exodus from Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, etc, to return to respective places of work or studies immediately saying it is �fully safe and secure �.

The council president said in a press note that this assurance of safety and welfare of Naga citizens dwelling outside the State either for educational purpose or employment purposes was received today from a Goodwill Team led by Parliamentarians (MPs), Legislators and senior party functionaries of the BJP from the States of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Assam.

The Goodwill Team held a public meeting with civil society leaders from all tribe hohos, organisations, students, women hoho, etc, in Dimapur today.

The release said it is the desire of the Naga Council, Women Hoho, tribal hohos and various communities that Nagaland, particularly Dimapur, maintain its age-old tradition of peace and communal harmony for all time to come.

The Council expressed gratefulness to learn through the team that various selected families in those cities are arranging for fellowship homes which welcome Naga students/citizens.
