GUWAHATI, Jan 30 - The 24th foundation day of Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture will be celebrated at the WM Auditorium of the Kendra at 5 pm tomorrow, stated a press release.
On the occasion, like every year, the prestigious VKIC Sanmaan will be conferred this year as well. This time, the award will be conferred on Dangmei Lungpuijei Kabui, a distinguished social worker who has been working relentlessly for preservation and promotion of the indigenous faith of the Kabui community of Manipur.
A cultural performance depicting a ritual of the Galo community of Arunachal Pradesh will be another attraction of the foundation day function, the release added.
