Former cricketer passes away

GUWAHATI, June 15: Former cricketer Abhinab Bora, who played for Nagaon district for several years breathed his last at Nagaon. He also captained the Nagaon team in various tournaments.

The 52-year old Bora was suffering from protracted disease. He leaves behind his wife and a son.

Popularly known as Baba, he was a leading sports organiser of the Nagaon district and served the Nagaon Sports Association as cricket secretary.

On behalf of the Assam Cricket Association, president Romen Dutta, secretary Devajit Saikia and other office bearers condoled the untimely demise of the former cricketer.
