ITANAGAR, Jan 18 � Arunachal Pradesh Women�s Welfare Society (APWWS) today appealed to the State Government for early formation of the new body of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW).
The Society in a release said that even after the last team demitted office three months ago, the new body was yet to be formed.
Its president Gumri Ringu said that appointments of the members and vice chairperson and chairperson must be strictly based on merit and drawn from among those who have a background of working with and for women and girls.
The Society also called for early formation of Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Child Rights. � PTI
