Flood scene improving: CM

GUWAHATI, July 22 � Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today said that flood situation in the State was improving with water levels receding in major rivers.

He also announced that a disaster response force would soon be raised in the State to deal with calamities like flood.

Addressing the media, Gogoi said that three people had died in the floods, the number of affected people was 5,77,272 and cropland damaged extended to 15,941 hectares.
