GUWAHATI, July 30 - Standing by the people of Assam in the wake of the massive devastation caused by the floodwaters in the State, a host of organisations and personalities have contributed to the Chief Minister�s Relief Fund.
The MD of the Assam Fisheries Development Corporation contributed Rs 10 lakh, Chairman of the Duliajan Numaligarh Pipeline Ltd extended Rs 10 lakh, while Chairman of DNPL Rupam Goswami also contributed Rs 10 lakh towards the Relief Fund.
A team of �Prerana� IAS Officers� Wives� Association handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakh to the Chief Minister.
Sector II Staff Institute of Guwahati Refinery also extended Rs 5 lakh to the Fund.
Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council donated Rs 2,19,000 to the Fund.
A team of the Assam Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Service Association handed over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to the Chief Minister today.
MLA Ranoj Pegu contributed Rs 1 lakh to the Relief Fund.
The others who have contributed to the Relief Fund included Assam Natural Tea Products, Luhit Tea Company Private Limited, Greenfield Crops Pvt Ltd, Tanay Tea, MD of Chai Udyog, Utpalakshi Agro Products Pvt Ltd, Tour Operators� Association of Assam, Arotee Agro Pvt Ltd, Binani Tea and Industries, Laxmi Tea Processors Company Pvt Ltd, Radha Tea Company Pvt Ltd, Gauripur Tea Industry, Malpani Tea Company Pvt Ltd, Rangdoi Tea Company, Tsangpool Tea Pvt Ltd, BL Tea Industries, Lalbagan Tea, Concept Junior College, Makhibaha Gramonnyan Samiti, Durga Tea Company, Sanjiv Tea Industry Pvt Ltd, Kushal Dowari, Binanda Kumar Saikia and others.
