RANGIYA, June 17 - Incessant rains have created flash floods in several parts of Rangiya town. Puthimari river, which flows across the town is now creating a havoc as the rising waters have inundated several areas and crop areas. The rising waters have washed away a makeshift bamboo bridge connecting Rangiya and Goreswar snapping the surface communication system.

According to reports, altogether 20 villages have been affected so far. The villagers have appealed to the authorities concerned to provide relief materials. The overall flood situation is critical in Rngiya and more new areas are likely to be affected soon, a group of villagers told this correspondent who visited the affected areas.
