FIFA team to visit Guwahati

GUWAHATI, Feb 10 - A high-powered FIFA delegation, led by FIFA Head of Competitions, Jaime Yarza, will visit Guwahati on February 19 to take stoke of the progress made for the FIFA U-17 World Cup to be held in India during September and October, 2017. According to a source here, the team will also visit places like Kochi (February 16), Goa (February 16), Mumbai (February 17), Kolkata (February 18) and Delhi (February 20), the venues for the championship. Apart from visiting the venues, the team will also inspect the training facilities in the respective cities.

The other FIFA officials to visit India are: Tracy Lu-FIFA Competitions Department, Felipe Restrepo-FIFA Competitions Department, Vijay Parthasarathy-FIFA Competitions Department, Christina Hollerl-FIFA Marketing, Jochem Steinhoff-FIFA Media, Paul Calder-FIFA TV, Jean Pierre Koeltgen-FIFA Ticketing, Mike Pfister-FIFA Senior Development Manager, Shaji Prabhakaran-FIFA Development Officer.
