Family appeals for release of engineer

TURA, May 31 � A junior engineer of Border Area Development Organisation (BADO), Alladdin Sangma, who was kidnapped on May 4, is yet to be traced. Police suspects the involvement of a cross-border gang from Bangladesh in the abduction.

Sangma was kidnapped while he was on his way to the BADO office at Baghmara in South Garo Hills by a group of armed men. The family of Sangma has once again appealed for his safe release.

�We appeal to the kidnappers to release my husband immediately. We have nothing without him and all of us need him with us as soon as possible�, said the wife of the engineer.
