GUWAHATI, Aug 13 � The Vigilance and Anti-corruption branch of the Assam Police today raided the house of former ARTFED chairman and present OSD to the Department of Handloom and Textiles, BTC, NN Rana Patgiri located in Bamunimaidam area.
Sleuths of theVigilance and Anti-corruption wing has reportedly sealed all the rooms of Patgiri�s house.
Acting on a directive by the High Court, the Vigilance and Anti-corruption wing carried out the raid for more than four hours. Rana Patgiri however was missing, with family members asserting that he was out of station, a source said.
It is alleged that Patgiri during his tenure as the chairman of the ARTFED had swindled of huge amount of money.
