GUWAHATI, April 1 - The Federation of Engineering Service Associations of Assam today expressed concern over engineers hogging the harsh limelight through their misdeeds of late.

Engineers have a role in the States development and people expect them to offer their services efficiently. But actions of some officials and employees have shamed the entire engineer fraternity and upright officers have been demoralised, the Federation said in a press release.

The Federation asked the officials and employees to refrain from indulging in such malpractices. It also said investigations against the corrupt officials should reach a logical end so that the guilty are punished.
