GUWAHATI, May 7 � The Election Commission of India has warned Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for violating the model code of conduct of the elections and said that he should be more careful while making statements in future.
The ECI, in a release, said that Sarma had made a communal and inflammatory statement while addressing an election rally on March 29 in Panchmile area and the Commission was of the view that such statements might create hatred among different communities.
