EC to file FIR against Gogoi

NEW DELHI, April 11 - In what could lead to major embarrassment to the Congress, the Election Commission today decided to lodge an FIR against Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi for holding press conference today In violation of EC rules.

Gogoi's move to hold a press conference when poll was going on, has landed him in trouble.Deputy EC Sandeep Saxena told newsmen in Delhi that Tarun Gogoi was booked under Section 126 of RP Act. The maximum penalty if proven guilty is 2 years jail or penalty or both.
