Doctor tests positive in Manipur

IMPHAL, July 10 - A female doctor of the JNIMS has tested positive for COVID-19 in Manipur, sources said. Earlier, three Health workers had recovered from the disease in Bishnupur district.

Meanwhile, the State has reported a total of 1,582 positive cases, out of which 750 are active. As many as 832 persons have recovered from the viral disease. The recovery rate is 52.59 percent.

An official press release this evening said that 132 persons, including 82 males and 50 females, were confirmed positive at the VRDLs of the RIMS, JNIMS and the testing centre of the district hospital, Jiribam.

In the past 24 hours, 33 persons were discharged from COVID Care Centres at Meitram, Senapati and Ukhrul after they were found negative, the release added.
