Dist admin staff to stage silent protest

GUWAHATI, Dec 15 - The All Assam District Administration Employees Union (AADAEU) will observe silent protests across the State against the Citizenship Amendment Act on Wednesday.

�Every member of the union will wear a black badge during office hours from 10 am to 12 pm as a mark to protest against the Act. The Union had already extended support to the protests being organised by various organizations against the Act in the State. The district committees of AADAEU will take up agitation programmes against the Act in their respective districts,� a press statement issued by the union stated.

Meanwhile, members of All Assam Heads of the Department Ministerial Officers� Association (AAHDMOA) will wear gamochas during office hours as a mark of protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act from December 16 to 21. They will also observe cease work on December 18.
