GUWAHATI, July 27 - Scores of differently abled persons today staged a demonstration at Dispur, blocking the GS Road, forcing the police to detain them for a few hours.
The differently abled were protesting against the Government�s failure to set up an exclusive college and a university for them.
�There is no institution of higher education for us. We had written several letters to the Government, but all our pleas have fallen on deaf ears,� they complained.
